Thiers-Issard "Extra-Wide" Double-Sided Paddle Strop

The Thiers-Issard "Extra-Wide" Double-Sided Paddle Strop is made of natural hardwood and has a hollowed body to provide just the right amount of "spring" to the surface. It has a smooth and comfortable handle for ease of use, and is finished in a red mahogany stain. The stropping surface measures 3" by 10".

When used with an abrasive paste, this strop is all you need to periodically re-sharpen your straight razor. The two roughened leather surfaces are perfect for holding the abrasive material in these pastes, which actually do the work of sharpening. The two leather surfaces are shaded differently so that you can differentiate between grades of sharpening paste.
